Homeless Animals Poster Series is to bring awareness of endangered animals that are affected by deforestation. Through a three-poster series, this project examines how typography, layout, and style can bring awareness to this topic.
Preliminary Sketches
The original idea of this poster series was to bring awareness to endangered animals. Along the way, ideas of deforestation came to mind as well. I was also thinking of ways to save the planet. By combining those two ideas I was able to bring this poster series to life.
Color Palette
Since this poster series has to do endangered animals and deforestation, I wanted to use colors that bring the nature feel of these posters to life. So using the green for the font and text, help bring the infomation to life. But also used to stand out with the white background.
Typography
The typography was used to make the posters eye catching. Archivo Black was bold enough to catch your eyes at the top of the poster. Then having the Myraid Pro help bring the information to life.
Final Design
The final design has the Koala Bear, Spider Monkey, and Three-Toe Sloth as some of the animals that are homeless due to deforestation. The tag was to help people understand we need to save these animals homes. Finally World Wildlife Fund is a place people can donate and learn on how they can help.
